Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Weddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabrera comes to the cage accompanied by Hector. Weddle has chosen remember the name - fort minor as his entrance music. Wes Weddle has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hector Cabrera's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wes Weddle!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weddle misses with a hook. Cabrera ducked under it nicely.
Cabrera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Weddle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Weddle shoots in looking for a takedown. Cabrera tries to sprawl out of it but Weddle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cabrera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cabrera slips a jab from Weddle.

Wes Weddle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cabrera walks into a left hand.
Weddle tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Cabrera counter with a right hand.
Weddle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Weddle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cabrera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Weddle throws out the jab.
Cabrera slips a straight right by Weddle.
Weddle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cabrera holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Cabrera lands a shot to the body.
Cabrera is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Weddle can't fight it off and eventually Cabrera manages to take the fight to the floor. Weddle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cabrera throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Weddle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cabrera works over Weddle with some ground and pound from guard.
Cabrera postures up in Weddle's guard and throws a big left but Weddle blocks it.
Cabrera trying to control the position from guard on top but Weddle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cabrerais looking to pass into half guard but Weddle pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Weddle is in guard.

Cabrera has a closed guard, preventing Weddle from standing up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Weddle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cabrera looking for a sweep. Not yet Cabrera, not yet.
Weddle looking to pass the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Weddle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cabrera.
Cabrera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Weddle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cabrera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cabrera wants it to stay on the feet.
Hector Cabrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Weddle.
Weddle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cabrera manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Weddle won't allow Cabrera to sweep him here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cabrera is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Weddle is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Weddle wants to control from the top but Cabrera keeps moving.
Weddle is in close to Cabrera's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Weddle is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cabrera has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Weddle is looking to defend but Cabrera has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Weddle! Cabrera pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Weddle taps out and this one is all over!
