The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chiba loads up on a big right hand but Savage slips the punch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Chiba.
Chiba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Savage throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chiba moves away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Savage postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Savage throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Chiba dodges the ground and pound from Savage.
Savage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chiba throws a low kick, looking for Savage's leg but Savage calmly moves out of range.
