Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogers Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into the arena with Housequake blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Diaz. That snapped Nelson's head back.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Diaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nelson.
Nelson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Nelson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.
Nelson misses with a series of wild punches.

Nelson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nelson tests Diaz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nelson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nelson lunges at Diaz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diaz's hand.
Diaz is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nelson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Nelson wants to land a leg kick but Diaz is out of range.
Nelson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Diaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nelson throws out the jab.
Nelson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Diaz is rocked!

Nelson lands with a big right hook that stumbles Diaz - he's out on his feet here! Nelson follows up with another monster hook that separates Diaz from consciousness! Diaz falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Nelson stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
