Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Senzai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Vasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senzai's entrance music is Sabotage. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Masaru Senzai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Vasa!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Senzai lands a big head kick that sends Vasa tumbling to the mat! Senzai takes a step backwards and waves Vasa back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Nick Vasa has been cut.
Senzai throws a leg kick but Vasa moved away.
Senzai cracks Vasa with a right hand to the side of the head.

Vasa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vasa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Senzai is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Vasa.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vasa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Senzai pinned against the cage. Senzai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Senzai thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Vasa if he has to take too many more of those.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Senzai leaves Vasa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vasa has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Senzai.

Senzai tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Masaru Senzai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Senzai throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Senzai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
