Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez comes into the arena with Slash - By the Sword blaring out of the sound system. Robinson has chosen Blur - Song 2 Remix as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robinson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cortez sprawls well initially but Robinson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Robinson is taking a breather. Cortez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cortez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Robinson on the ground.

Cortez wants to try and get back to his feet.

Robinson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cortez is surviving well by controlling Robinson's body position as best he can.

Robinson has hold of Cortez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cortez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Cortez is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Robinson has control of Cortez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cortez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
