Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Didier Diane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Durham Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Didier Diane has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diane moves into range and clinches up with Red.
Red wants a takedown but no success here.
Diane goes for a takedown in the clinch but Red prevents it.
Diane tries for a takedown but Red manages to get underhooks.
Diane is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Red gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Didier Diane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diane changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Red fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Diane tries to clinch up but Red circles away and keeps his distance.

Diane gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Red regains guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Red is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Red drops back looking for a leg! Diane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diane manages to kick Red off! Red jumps back into Diane's guard.

Red drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Red jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Red tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Red has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Red looks gassed!

Red thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Diane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Diane gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Diane gets full guard.
Diane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Diane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Red throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Diane wants to sweep here but Red controlling him for the moment.
Diane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Red's guard.
Diane distracts Red with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Diane is looking to work some ground and pound but Red has wrist control.

Red working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Red is tightening it up a little... Diane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Diane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Diane taps out! nice BJJ there by Red!
