These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone misses with the combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Wikstrom.
Stone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wikstrom but Wikstrom pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Wikstrom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stone.

and Stone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wikstrom's guard.

Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stone throws and elbow that misses. Wikstrom uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stone's guard. Nice move by Wikstrom!

Stone has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wikstrom off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Wikstrom counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
