PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and frederico vernaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). vernaco has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
vernaco looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bob controlling the action here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bob lands a nice short elbow.
Bob stalling.
Bob scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bob looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bob decides to stand and escape the position.
Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but vernaco circles away quickly and effectively.
Bob lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like frederico vernaco has been cut.

Bob drops vernaco with a beautiful combination! vernaco stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bob is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bob cracks vernaco on the jaw with a powerful right hand and vernaco falls backwards against the cage. Bob follows up with more strikes that drop vernaco to his knees. Bob keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save vernaco! This one is all over!
