And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz scores with a nice head shot.
Cruz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Cruz. No joy for Rolfes on that attempt.
Cruz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rolfes is defended easily by Cruz.
Cruz lands an overhand right.
It looks like Bastian Rolfes has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Cruz.
Cruz scores with a nice right hand.
Rolfes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cruz is not content to let Rolfes control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cruz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cruz reaches up to try and control the position but Rolfes seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Cruz rolls and tries to escape and now Rolfes has his back!

Rolfes is not going to allow Cruz to sit and survive in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rolfes is persistently looking for the submission but Cruz is defending it well.

I would not like to be Cruz right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cruz is trying to roll into a better position but Rolfes has get a rear naked choke and Cruz is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
