Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rooster Cogburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastion Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Final Countdown kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rooster Cogburn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rooster Cogburn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bastion Vincent!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Vincent looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cogburn looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vincent looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cogburn is one step ahead there.
Vincent is looking to stand up but Cogburn isn't so interested in that idea.
Cogburn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cogburn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Vincent bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cogburn's guard.

Vincent passes Cogburn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Vincent is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cogburn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vincent looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cogburn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vincent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cogburn is fending him off so far but Vincent persists. Nope, Cogburn circles away and we're back to standing.

Bastion Vincent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cogburn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vincent stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Cogburn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vincent is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cogburn wants to control but Vincent is keeping him busy.

Cogburn decides to stand back up. Cogburn steps back and let's Vincent get back to his feet.
Vincent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cogburn swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rooster Cogburn dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cogburn sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cogburn scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cogburn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vincent backs up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cogburn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cogburn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Rooster Cogburn showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cogburn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
