Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakata Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nakata Ko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Powers!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers throws a lazy right hand but Ko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A lazy left from Powers finds it's target.

Ko drives through with a takedown into guard.
Powers doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Powers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ko is aware though and is defending well.

Powers is looking for a triangle but Ko pushes his legs off easily.
Ko wants to control from the top but Powers keeps moving.
Ko is looking to work some ground and pound but Powers has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Powers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ko is aware though and is defending well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Powers wants to control from the top but Ko keeps moving.
Powers might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ko walks into a left hand.
Powers throws a right and a left that both miss.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Powers lands a nice shot that snaps Ko's head back.

Powers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ko tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Powers working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Powers is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ko still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ko has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Frank Powers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Frank Powers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Powers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
