The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson jr shows good takedown defense.

Ferguson jr clinches.

Ferguson jr drags the fight down to the ground.
Taylor wants to control from the top but Ferguson jr keeps moving.
Ferguson jr wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferguson jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Taylor gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ferguson jr is looking to clinch but Taylor is avoiding it.

Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferguson jr swivels and escapes.

Ferguson jr throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Taylor blocks it with crossed arms.
Ferguson jr has Taylor pressed against the cage, preventing Taylor from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Taylor tries to pull guard but Ferguson jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Taylor drops back down to his feet.

Ferguson jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ferguson jr misses with a few strikes there.
Taylor shoots for a takedown but Ferguson jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ferguson jr thuds his right hand into Taylor's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ferguson jr rushes Taylor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
