PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Batton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esta me Dinero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Batton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Why is the Rum gone?. Jack Batton could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Esta me Dinero's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Batton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Esta me Dinero!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinero tries to close the distance and clinch but Batton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dinero bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dinero is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Batton takes a swing at Dinero's ribcage but misses.
Dinero doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dinero shoots in but no luck this time.
Dinero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Batton but Batton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dinero ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Batton fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dinero takes one to the side of the head.
Dinero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Batton misses with a looping left.
A solid leg kick lands there for Batton.

Batton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dinero utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dinero uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batton.
Dinero uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Batton.
Jack Batton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batton lands with a nice combination. Dinero backs away looking to recover.

Batton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dinero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Batton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Batton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dinero parries the strikes from Batton easily there. Batton is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dinero to escape.

Batton cracks Dinero with a hook to the temple - Dinero is on wobbly legs here! Batton swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Dinero falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Batton wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jack Batton!
