And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bernard Freeley!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeley fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Nobis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Freeley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Nobis counters with a takedown into side control.

Nobis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Freeley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nobis is trying to ground and pound but Freeley uses the momentary lack of control by Nobis to regain half guard.
It looks like Nobis is going to stand back up.
Nobis is trying to control the action in half guard but Freeley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Nobis tries to stand but can't do so whilst Freeley controls his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nobis not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Nobis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Freeley tries to get to full guard but Nobis has control of the leg.

Freeley dodges the punch combination from Nobis.
Nobis tries to clinch but Freeley moves out of range.

Nobis wants to clinch up but Freeley keeps it at a distance.
Nobis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Freeley.

and Freeley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Freeley.
Nobis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Nobis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Freeley throws a series of punches but Nobis moves out of range.
Nobis misses with a takedown
and Freeley counters with a straight right hand.

and Freeley counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Nobis! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Freeley!
