The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

SABANGAN looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
SABANGAN trying to mount his opponent but Babineaux defends it.
SABANGAN is looking to pass Babineaux's guard but actually Babineaux recovers to full guard.
SABANGAN trying to control the position from guard on top but Babineaux is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

SABANGAN with a flurry of punches that miss.
SABANGAN trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
SABANGAN wants to control from the top but Babineaux keeps moving.
SABANGAN must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
SABANGAN shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Babineaux as he avoids it easily.
