Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Amoroso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amoroso comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Renegades of Funk - Rage Against The Machine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mark MacLeod could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Julio Amoroso's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julio Amoroso!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amoroso shoots in and drives through. MacLeod sprawls well.

Amoroso closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
MacLeod wants to control but Amoroso postures up.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Amoroso prevents MacLeod from escaping the position.
Amoroso wants to lay and pray for a moment but MacLeod keeps working.
Amoroso might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control MacLeod kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Amoroso is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. MacLeod knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
MacLeod gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Amoroso wants to free his trapped foot but MacLeod is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Amoroso is trying to control the action in half guard but MacLeod is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacLeod makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Amoroso looks for a takedown but MacLeod sprawls well.
A nice inside leg kick there by MacLeod. That's going to slow Amoroso down.
Amoroso looks gassed!
MacLeod throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Amoroso stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
MacLeod fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Amoroso drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
MacLeod is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Amoroso passes easily into side control. Nice work.

MacLeod struggling a bit here.
MacLeod is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacLeod is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Amoroso's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Amoroso's back!
MacLeod wants to control but Amoroso is keeping busy.
You can see the frustration on Amoroso's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Amoroso is trying to defend against the choke here but MacLeod has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. MacLeod Tightens the hold and Amoroso taps out furiously! MacLeod displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
