Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chael Aroonkong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Latish Festin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aroonkong stuffs the takedown.
Festin shoots for a takedown but Aroonkong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Festin wants to land a leg kick but Aroonkong is out of range.
Aroonkong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Festin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aroonkong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Festin somewhat.
Chael Aroonkong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Latish Festin.
Festin is looking to clinch but Aroonkong is avoiding it.
Aroonkong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aroonkong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aroonkong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Festin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Festin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Aroonkong tries to clinch there but Festin circles away.
Aroonkong swings for the body but Festin moves out of range.

It looks like Latish Festin has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Aroonkong.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Festin takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Festin prevents a takedown attempt there.

Festin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Aroonkong is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Festin to the mat. Festin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Aroonkong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Aroonkong tries to free his leg and advance position but Festin is retaining full guard.
Festin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Aroonkong wanted to stand there but Festin had control of the position.

Festin is working an open guard so Aroonkong takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Festin blocks a head kick by Aroonkong.
Festin is trying desperately to land a takedown but Aroonkong is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Festin.
Aroonkong feints and then cracks Festin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Festin down.
Aroonkong connects with a high kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Aroonkong! Festin is out on his feet! Aroonkong rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Festin is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Festin is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
