Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dolly Parton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parton comes to the cage accompanied by 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton. Teddy Roosevelt has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dolly Parton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dolly Parton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Roosevelt!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parton.
A jab from Roosevelt misses.
Parton defending well as Roosevelt loads up on a big left hand.
Roosevelt works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Dolly Parton has been cut.
Roosevelt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parton shoots in looking for a takedown. Roosevelt tries to sprawl out of it but Parton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roosevelt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Parton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roosevelt but Roosevelt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dolly Parton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roosevelt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Parton.
Parton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roosevelt pinned against the cage. Roosevelt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Parton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Roosevelt takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Parton creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Roosevelt sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Parton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ground and pound from Parton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Parton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roosevelt avoids it really well and circles away.

Roosevelt defending against the ground and pound.
Parton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Parton with the ground and pound but Roosevelt regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Parton throws a strike but Roosevelt avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Parton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Roosevelt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Roosevelt wants to get back to his feet but Parton is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Roosevelt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parton's guard.

Roosevelt gets to his feet. Parton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Parton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Parton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Parton performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Roosevelt regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Parton.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roosevelt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Roosevelt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Parton wants to control from the top but Roosevelt keeps moving.
Parton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Parton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parton tries to free his leg and advance position but Roosevelt is retaining full guard.
Parton controls from within his opponent's guard.
Parton works over Roosevelt with some ground and pound from guard.
Parton advances position into side control!
Roosevelt pushes Parton away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parton gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ground and pound from Parton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Parton in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dolly Parton will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Roosevelt gets caught flat footed, as Parton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Roosevelt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parton is one step ahead there.
Parton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Parton won't allow Roosevelt to get back to his feet.
Parton cracks Roosevelt with a solid left hand.
Parton connects with a couple of short punches.
Roosevelt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Parton.
Parton throwing strikes from guard but Roosevelt blocks nicely.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parton's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Parton throws a strike but Roosevelt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Parton throws his legs up looking for a submission but Roosevelt uses it to pass to side control.
Parton is looking for a sweep.
Parton wants to control but Roosevelt postures up.
Parton sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roosevelt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Parton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Roosevelt tries to stand but can't do so whilst Parton controls his leg.
Parton is looking to get back to full guard here but Roosevelt has managed to pass to side control instead.
Parton tries to hold on but Roosevelt postures up.
Parton is squirming around, avoiding Roosevelt's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parton tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Parton tries to lock up and control but Roosevelt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parton is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Roosevelt thows a body shot but no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Roosevelt misses with a straight left.
No luck for Parton with that takedown attempt.
Parton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roosevelt circles away.
Parton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roosevelt pinned against the cage. Roosevelt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dolly Parton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parton takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Roosevelt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Parton.
Roosevelt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Parton momentarily.
Parton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roosevelt.
Roosevelt connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Roosevelt has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Roosevelt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parton moves away.
Parton drops his hands momentarily and Roosevelt takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Parton takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Parton is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roosevelt but Roosevelt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Roosevelt tests Parton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oh Parton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Parton tries for a takedown but Roosevelt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Parton seems to have got his legs back now.

Parton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Roosevelt with a nice cross.
Roosevelt drops Parton with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Parton! Roosevelt dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Teddy Roosevelt!
