The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Dean.
Dean throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dean has Gale pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dean pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gale tumbling to the mat - Dean dives into Gale's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Gale.
