Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Hellstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy catches Hellstrom with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Brophy looks to throw the jab but Hellstrom is out of range.
Hellstrom lands a nice shot to the body.
Hellstrom keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brophy checks a leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Hellstrom as Brophy shoots in.
Brophy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brophy throws a hook to the side of Hellstrom's head but Hellstrom sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brophy avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Brophy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hellstrom was well out of range. Poor timing from Brophy.
Brophy lands a nice hook to Hellstrom's body. Hellstrom takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hellstrom misses with an uppercut. Brophy saw that one coming.
Brophy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hellstrom sprawls well. Hellstrom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brophy gets slowly back to his feet.

Brophy throws a big shot that misses.
Hellstrom loads up on a big right hand but Brophy slips the punch.
Craig Brophy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brophy walks straight into a right hand from Hellstrom - that's dropped him! Hellstrom jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Brophy from any more punishment! Brophy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
