Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob pickerins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). pickerins comes to the cage accompanied by way of the fist. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob pickerins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pickerins misses with a low kick.
Marsh connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Marsh slips a straight right by pickerins.
Marsh misses with a hook.
Marsh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bob pickerins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Marsh misses.
A slow jab from pickerins misses its intended target.
pickerins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Marsh.

Marsh shoots in and bounces pickerins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
pickerins wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Marsh manages to pass to side control.
Marsh wants to pass to mount but pickerins is defending the position.

pickerins is trying to stand up here but Marsh is controlling him well.
pickerins is looking to control Marsh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can pickerins avoid being mounted?
Marsh is trying to control. pickerins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Marsh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Marsh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marsh is thwarting pickerins's attempts to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Marsh scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
pickerins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Marsh counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marsh.

Marsh is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! pickerins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! pickerins has escaped and now he's on top!

Marsh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

pickerins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marsh is proving hard to escape from.
Marsh working a defensive guard but pickerins passes into half guard.
pickerins wants to stand but Marsh has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Marsh wants to control the action here but instead pickerins manages to pass to full mount!
Marsh manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Marsh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. pickerins is working away from the top position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marsh regains full guard. Nicely done.

Marsh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
pickerins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
pickerins trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
pickerins is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Marsh is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Marsh dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


pickerins looks to throw the jab but Marsh is out of range.

pickerins throws a nice looking combination but Marsh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
pickerins looks to land a combination. Marsh sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Randy Marsh has been cut.
pickerins throws a combination that misses
and pickerins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
pickerins tries a head kick but it misses.
pickerins throws a chopping leg kick but Marsh manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Marsh blocks a jab.
Marsh slips a straight right by pickerins.

pickerins lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
pickerins throws a body punch but Marsh moves out of range.

No joy there for Marsh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bob pickerins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marsh ducks under a wild hook from pickerins.
pickerins misses with a combination

so Marsh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marsh landing with the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now pickerins is on top in guard.

Marsh wants to sweep here but pickerins controlling him for the moment.

Marsh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. pickerins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marsh is breathing heavily.
Marsh is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Marsh manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
pickerins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marsh on the ground.

Marsh misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Marsh looking to control but pickerins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Marsh goes for an armbar but pickerins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from pickerins.
pickerins stays in close to Marsh's body and controls the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marsh keeping moving, preventing pickerins from controlling successfully.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob pickerins will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


pickerins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Marsh counters with a right hand to the body.
Bob pickerins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Marsh is trying hard to land a takedown here. pickerins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
pickerins throws a looping overhand right but Marsh ducks down to avoid it.
pickerins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marsh. That did some damage!

Marsh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

pickerins pushes Marsh off looking to stand but Marsh dives back in and keeps control.
Marsh winds up and cracks pickerins with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Marsh is trying to work for a kimura but pickerins is defending well.
Marsh is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marsh throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Marsh moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, pickerins has worked his arm free - good work by pickerins!
Marsh tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Marsh creates some space and throws a big elbow, but pickerins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Marsh wants to control but pickerins is keeping him busy.
Marsh throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and pickerins works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
pickerins is not content to let Marsh control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

pickerins is in trouble now - Marsh has advanced to mount!
pickerins wants to hold on but Marsh pushes him away.
pickerins is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
pickerins is trying desperately to improve position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Randy Marsh.
I think Marsh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
