Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eamon Dunphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kratus Pretorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunphy fails with the takedown.
Dunphy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pretorian's waist but Pretorian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunphy off to one side.
A punch combination from Pretorian misses.

Nice combo by Dunphy! Oh, that's hurt him - Pretorian falls to the canvas and Dunphy follows him into side control.

Pretorian is rocked!

It looks like Kratus Pretorian has been cut.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pretorian can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dunphy fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dunphy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pretorian keeps working.

Pretorian is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Pretorian tries to buck Dunphy off but he can't manage it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dunphy has hold of Pretorian's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pretorian manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dunphy thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Dunphy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pretorian wants to stand but Dunphy is controlling the position.
Dunphy is looking to work some ground and pound but Pretorian has wrist control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pretorian misses with a double jab
and Dunphy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pretorian throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dunphy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pretorian is breathing heavily.
Dunphy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pretorian as he avoids it easily.
Pretorian swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dunphy counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Pretorian falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
