Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cook kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalif. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Wallace scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cook wants to improve his position but Wallace is controlling well.

Wallace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cook sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wallace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cook's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wallace lands a really nice looking cross but Cook seems unphased.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wallace connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wallace fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Wallace lands a big shot there that rocks Cook but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Willy Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wallace throws a series of punches but Cook moves out of range.
Cook tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cook somewhat.

No joy there for Wallace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cook.

The fighters circle momentarily. Wallace darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wallace stalks Cook and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cook's face. Cook staggers backwards, shaken.

Cook takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cook is trying to control but can't.

Wallace is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cook has managed to free his arm - good work.
