Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lex Luther!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aleksander Pavlyuchenko!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlyuchenko blocks a head kick by Luther.
Luther tries a head kick but it misses.
Luther lands a big head kick that sends Pavlyuchenko tumbling to the mat! Luther takes a step backwards and waves Pavlyuchenko back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Aleksander Pavlyuchenko has been cut.
Pavlyuchenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Luther was covering up waiting for the punch and Pavlyuchenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Luther wants to stand and escape but Pavlyuchenko is having none of it.
Pavlyuchenko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pavlyuchenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Let's hope that Pavlyuchenko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Luther tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pavlyuchenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pavlyuchenko thows a big elbow that misses.
Pavlyuchenko gets to his feet - Luther follows without any prompting.
Pavlyuchenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pavlyuchenko in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Luther is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
