Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tif Da Cat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Basic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Basic looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Cat rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Basic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Basic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Basic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Basic steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Da Cat. That one must have hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Basic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Da Cat is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Da Cat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Basic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Da Cat seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Basic for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tif Da Cat.

Basic with a lazy takedown attempt

and Da Cat decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Basic's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Da Cat could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Da Cat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Basic's shoulder. That is not cool.

Basic is working an open guard so Da Cat takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tif Da Cat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Da Cat throws some wild strikes from the bottom.
Da Cat is desperately trying to improve his position but Basic has a good base and remains in mount.
Basic lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Da Cat is bucking up trying to escape but Basic cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Basic thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Da Cat's head.

Da Cat is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Da Cat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Basic's guard.
Da Cat might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Da Cat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Basic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
