Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and F U Up (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). F U Up is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcelo Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, F U Up!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia clinches.
Garcia has Up pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Up manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Garcia is pressed up against the cage. Up has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Garcia down to the mat. Garcia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Up misses with a head kick.
Up shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Up tries for a takedown but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Garcia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garcia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Garcia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Up sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Garcia is looking for a kimura but Up is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Garcia stalling away here and it's allowed Up to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Up has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garcia is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Garcia is looking to sweep but instead, Up has passed into half guard.
Garcia wants to control but Up is keeping busy.
Garcia controlling the position well.

Up is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Garcia moves into full guard.

Garcia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Up regains half guard.
Up trying to control from the bottom.
Garcia is looking to take a break and control but Up is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garcia not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Garcia is trying to control the action in half guard but Up is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Garcia is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marcelo Garcia.
Up has his takedown stuffed
and Garcia counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Up is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Garcia.
Up has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Garcia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
