The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Buddy as he avoids it easily.
Lopez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A jab from Buddy misses.
Buddy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Buddy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lopez.
Lopez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Buddy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lopez. Lopez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Buddy scores with a sloppy right hand. Lopez should have avoided that one.
Buddy throws a jab when Lopez was well out of range.
Lopez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lopez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buddy.
A decent looking cross lands there for Buddy.
Buddy throws the left hand but Lopez avoids the punch easily.
Buddy lunges at Lopez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lopez's hand.
Buddy misses with a looping right.

Lopez is rocked!
Lopez walks straight into a right hand from Buddy - that's dropped him! Buddy jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lopez from any more punishment! Lopez complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
