Vedhult comes to the cage accompanied by The skatt bros - Life at the outpost. Kenneth Vedhult has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenneth Vedhult!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Renato Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie scores with a takedown into Vedhult's guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie won't allow Vedhult to sweep him here.
Vedhult keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Vedhult slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Vedhult wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vedhult's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vedhult holds on and takes a little breather.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vedhult dives on top into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vedhult lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
Vedhult keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vedhult wants to clinch.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gracie decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kenneth Vedhult seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vedhult sprawls well. Vedhult wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vedhult. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vedhult tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Vedhult keeps moving.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Vedhult is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Vedhult has escaped and now he's on top!
