The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Emilianenko trying to hold on to Arson's head to control him but Arson postures up.

Emilianenko wants to improve his position but Arson is controlling well.

Emilianenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Arson trying to control but Emilianenko is working from the bottom.
Emilianenko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Arson wants to control from the top but Emilianenko keeps moving.

Emilianenko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Arson is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Arson tries to free his leg and advance position but Emilianenko is retaining full guard.
Emilianenko trying to keep a closed guard but Arson is proving a slippery customer.
Emilianenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Arson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Emilianenko is staying active underneath Arson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Emilianenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arson.

Emilianenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Arson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Emilianenko goes for an armbar but Arson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Arson.

Arson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Emilianenko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Emilianenko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Emilianenko!

Emilianenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Arson, who protects the arm well.

Emilianenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Emilianenko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Arson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Emilianenko has worked his arm free - good work by Emilianenko!

Arson tries for a kimura but Emilianenko is defending well.
Arson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Emilianenko can't do much from the bottom here.

Arson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Emilianenko is looking to improve his position.
Emilianenko is trying to stand up here but Arson is controlling him well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Emilianenko is looking for a sweep. Arson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Emilianenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Arson is working away from the top position though.
Emilianenko is trying to stand.

Van Arson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Arson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
