Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between ZPryde Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by Hood Mentality. Reese has chosen I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Simmons but Simmons pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Simmons throws a right and a left that both miss.

Reese scores with a takedown into Simmons's guard.
Simmons wants to stand up but Reese is controlling him.
Reese wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving.
Simmons looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Reese throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Reese trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Reese changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Simmons looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Simmons is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Reese is controlling him well.

Reese is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Simmons has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simmons is trying to buck Reese off.

Reese thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Simmons is trying to get back to his feet.
Simmons might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Simmons manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Reese is trying to control the action in half guard but Simmons is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Reese is working for a kimura but Simmons is defending it quite comfortably.
Reese looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reese closes the distance and clinches up with Simmons, looking for a takedown. Reese pushes Simmons against the cage but Simmons circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Simmons lands a jab-cross combination.
Simmons throws a series of punches but Reese avoids them all with ease.
Reese fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
ZPryde Simmons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Reese.
Reese walks into a straight right hand from Simmons.
Reese shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Simmons defends it nicely.
Reese gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Simmons.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Simmons has cracked Reese with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Simmons lands another huge swinging hook and Reese tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Reese, before Simmons can land any more shots!
