The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abu misses with a body shot.
Taylor ducks under a wild hook from Abu.
Taylor throws a nice looking combination but Abu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Abu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Abu moves into the clinch successfully.
Abu lands an elbow just above Taylor 's eye.
Abu tries for a takedown. No joy.

Taylor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abu needs to keep his hands up - Taylor had a free shot at his head there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taylor wants to stand and escape but Abu is having none of it.

Taylor pushes Abu off and scrambles back to his feet.

Abu tries to advance to mount but can't.
Taylor is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Abu has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Taylor is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Abu looks up at the clock and then as Taylor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Abu smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Abu is trying to get an arm triangle but Taylor is defending well.
Taylor is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Abu trying to control the action but Taylor is working from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Taylor throws Abu to one side and escapes!
Corey Taylor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Abu takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Abu lands with a straight right. Taylor didn't see that one coming.
Taylor takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Abu is trying to work for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.

Taylor pushes Abu off and gets back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Taylor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Abu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Taylor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Abu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Taylor thinking.

Taylor scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Abu manages to mount him!

Abu has hold of Taylor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Taylor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Taylor is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Taylor is breathing heavily.
Abu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Taylor is looking to escape.

Abu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Taylor is on top in guard.

Abu is working an open guard so Taylor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Abu just misses with a punch to the body.
Abu slips under a jab.
Taylor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abu.
Abu looks to throw the jab but Taylor is out of range.

Taylor gets caught flat footed, as Abu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Taylor is looking to stand back up but Abu counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Taylor.
Taylor pushes Abu off looking to stand but Abu dives back in and keeps control.
Taylor has hold of Abu's hands but Abu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Taylor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Abu scores with a couple of nice shots.

Taylor is rocked!
Abu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Taylor is still in real trouble! Can Abu finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Abu seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Taylor is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
