Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between HECTOR RAMIREZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smash Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer has chosen Holla if ya hear me as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts RAMIREZ as he jumps to the side.

and Hammer counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hammer is trying to control the action in half guard but RAMIREZ is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hammer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

RAMIREZ escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hammer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hammer stands and steps away. RAMIREZ gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hammer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hammer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hammer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

RAMIREZ tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Hammer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

RAMIREZ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hammer's guard.

Hammer pushes RAMIREZ off and gets back to his feet.

Hammer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but RAMIREZ manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hammer has RAMIREZ in his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as RAMIREZ accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

RAMIREZ gets to his feet - Hammer follows without any prompting.

RAMIREZ closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

RAMIREZ cracks Hammer with a big right hand but Hammer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
