PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Perkele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perkele has chosen Danzig - I Don't Mind The Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler takes a kick to the side of the head.
Tyler looks to land a left hand but Perkele moved out of range nicely.
Perkele throws a hook to the side of Tyler's head but Tyler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Perkele is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tyler.
Perkele lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tyler circles away quickly and effectively.
Tyler looks to throw the jab but Perkele is out of range.

Pekka Perkele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyler misses with a hook. Perkele ducked under it nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyler parries the strikes from Perkele easily there. Perkele is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tyler to escape.

Perkele throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Tyler works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyler steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Perkele. That one must have hurt.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tyler holds on and takes a little breather.

Perkele stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Perkele is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

No joy there for Tyler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Perkele changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyler tries to avoid it but Perkele manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyler to the ground. Tyler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
