The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marciliano dives in and grabs About's left leg, looking for a takedown. About pushes down on Marciliano's head and hops out.
About fails with a takedown attempt.
Marciliano fails to land with a series of punches.
Marciliano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Marciliano looks to land a combination but About avoids it well.

and Marciliano counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

About is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
About is trying to maintain the position but Marciliano is very close to passing his half guard.
Well, if Marciliano is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

About wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marciliano has him pressed against the cage.
Marciliano has had enough of the clinch but About keeps him there for the moment.
About fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on About's face as he tries to break the clinch.

About looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

About drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marciliano pulls his leg out and moves away.
About changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marciliano tries to avoid it but About manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marciliano to the ground. Marciliano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

About wants to take a breather but Marciliano manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for About.
About looking to pass the guard.
Marciliano bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in About's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marciliano gets to his feet. About looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
About lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marciliano circles away quickly and effectively.
