The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

mooiboy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Croix looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

mooiboy is trying to get an arm triangle but Croix is defending well.

mooiboy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Croix is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

mooiboy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Croix knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
mooiboy misses with the ground and pound.

mooiboy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Croix, who protects the arm well.

mooiboy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
mooiboy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
mooiboy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
mooiboy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Croix is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Croix takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Croix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for mooiboy on the ground.

Croix is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but mooiboy has just dragged him back down to the mat.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
mooiboy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Croix avoids it really well and circles away.
Croix scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. mooiboy doesn't seem bothered though.

Croix connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent mooiboy tumbling to the canvas! Croix pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! mooiboy was done - good stoppage!
