Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mek Ju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeider Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeider Pires told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pires misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ju gets the takedown into side control.
Ju tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ju wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pires, who protects the arm well.
Ju is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pires knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pires manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Ju is refusing to be controlled, as Pires sits in half guard.
Pires is stalling here. Ju is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pires seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ju has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Pires manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Pires is trying to control but can't.
Ju has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pires defend it? Ju steps over the head and cranks it - Pires is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ju!
