Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cooper King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Serptentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cooper King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jorge Serptentino!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serptentino tries a head kick but it misses.

Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Serptentino's head back.
King throws a body punch but Serptentino moves out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Serptentino checks a leg kick.

Serptentino throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Serptentino finishes the takedown easily into guard.
King can't keep his opponent in guard - Serptentino advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Serptentino is going oldschool here, as he tries to force King to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so King shrugs it off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Serptentino cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

King's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Serptentino has hold of King's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and King manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Serptentino feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
