Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armando Julio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Julio has time to react.

It looks like Armando Julio has been cut.
Julio shoots in for a double leg but Fedorov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Julio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fedorov to score with a decent uppercut.

Fedorov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Julio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fedorov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Julio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fedorov pushes Julio off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Julio passes Fedorov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Julio prevents Fedorov from standing back up.

Julio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Julio seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fedorov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Julio has gone for a leg lock! Fedorov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Julio's guard.
