PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is British Bulldog. King Fields has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Fields.
Bulldog is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fields shoots in but Bulldog avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bulldog lands a two punch combo.
Fields closes the distance looking to clinch
and Fields takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bulldog rushes Fields and presses him up against the ropes.

Bulldog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bulldog breaks the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bulldog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bulldog shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fields pinned against the cage. Fields gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fields shoots and misses

and Bulldog counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fields won't be happy with that.
Burbank Bulldog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Fields.
Fields taking punishment in the form of punches.

Bulldog is chipping away with strikes.

Bulldog decides to stand back up. Bulldog steps back and let's Fields get back to his feet.

Bulldog drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fields really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bulldog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fields wants to stand but Bulldog is controlling the position.
Fields looks gassed!

Bulldog decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fields, up you get!
Bulldog rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fields moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bulldog tries to clinch up

and Fields counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fields.

Bulldog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fields throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bulldog throws a nice looking combination but Fields bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch combination from Bulldog misses.

Bulldog blocks a head kick by Fields.

Bulldog gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bulldog unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fields lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Fields is trying to force a seperation but Bulldog has the dominant position.

Bulldog manages to break the clinch.
Bulldog throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fields scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Bulldog misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Bulldog bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bulldog has hold of Fields's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fields tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bulldog cranks the arm and Fields screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fields, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
