Ribeiro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is dança de bundinha. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Blunt.
Blunt connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Blunt misses the jab.
Blunt throws a looping overhand right but Ribeiro ducks down to avoid it.
Blunt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Blunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ribeiro manages to avoid it.
Ribeiro moves away from the strike by Blunt.
Blunt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ribeiro ducks under a wild hook from Blunt.
Ribeiro on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ribeiro misses the shot to the body.

Ribeiro forces Blunt back against the cage and clinches.
Blunt tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ribeiro's elbow.
Blunt tries to break free but Ribeiro pushes him back against the cage.
Ribeiro tries to pull guard but Blunt holds him up against the cage and eventually Ribeiro drops back down to his feet.

Ribeiro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Blunt uses from the top position.
Blunt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ribeiro is proving hard to escape from.

Blunt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Blunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribeiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
