Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ransom Metz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Pendous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metz comes to the cage accompanied by Not Afraid. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendous fails with a takedown attempt.
Metz doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Pendous counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pendous thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Metz's head.
Pendous throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Metz wants to get back to his feet.
Pendous misses with a head shot. Metz uses the momentum to regain guard.
Pendous must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pendous would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pendous postures up in Metz's guard and throws a big left but Metz blocks it.

Metz wants to stand and escape but Pendous is having none of it.
Pendous missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Metz is adopting a defensive guard.
Pendous throwing strikes but missing.

Metz pushes Pendous off and scrambles back to his feet.
Pendous tries for a takedown but Metz circles away easily

and Metz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pendous!
Metz seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Pendous is holding on tight.

Metz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Pendous looks gassed!
Metz with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Metz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Metz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pendous's face.

Metz has control of Pendous's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pendous regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Metz stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Metz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pendous!
Pendous keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Metz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Metz wants to control the pace but Pendous is squirming around nicely.

Metz quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Metz but it's paid off an Pendous is forced to tap! Nice work by Metz.
