The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uova stalks Nagasacki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nagasacki's face. Nagasacki staggers backwards, shaken.
Uova lands a really nice looking cross but Nagasacki seems unphased.

Uova closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Uova throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Uova has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nagasacki is rocked!

It looks like Hiro Nagasacki has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uova is landing with some decent strikes but Nagasacki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Nagasacki is still in real trouble! Can Uova finish him?

That has opened up Hiro Nagasacki's cut even more.

Uova is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nagasacki can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Nagasacki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Uova wants to control the pace but Nagasacki is squirming around nicely.
Nagasacki seems to have recovered his senses.
