The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fabiano.

Fabiano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Marins tries to lock up and control but Fabiano gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Marins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Fabiano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Marins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fabiano, who protects the arm well.

Well Marins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
