Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). StPierre is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Go Ninja- Vanilla Ice. Peter Dixon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon throws a wild body kick that StPierre sees coming a mile off.
A big right from Dixon misses.

StPierre drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dixon looking to control.
Dixon keeping moving, preventing StPierre from controlling successfully.

Dixon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. StPierre is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dixon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take StPierre's back instead.
StPierre covering up well and avoiding damage.
Dixon is trying to stick to StPierre's back but StPierre is turning into Dixon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dixon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by StPierre.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dixon pushes StPierre up against the cage in a clinch.

Dixon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dixon waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract StPierre.

StPierre tries to clinch but Dixon moves out of range.
Dixon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dixon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

StPierre looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
StPierre missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Dixon moves into full guard.

StPierre drops back looking for a leg! Dixon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dixon manages to kick StPierre off! StPierre jumps back into Dixon's guard.
StPierre is pushing down on Dixon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dixon is fighting to maintain full guard but StPierre has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dixon has a hand on StPierre's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. StPierre takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Dixon is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dixon stops StPierre from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
StPierre tries to control but Dixon wriggling away.

StPierre is trying to stick to Dixon's back but Dixon is turning into StPierre. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in StPierre's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dixon.

StPierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dixon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dixon lands with an uppercut that bounces StPierre off the cage and back into rage.
Dixon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by StPierre.
Dixon closes the distance and lands a one-two.

StPierre is rocked!
Dixon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
StPierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Dixon finish him?

StPierre drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dixon can't do much from the bottom here.

StPierre is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dixon has escaped the position, nice work there.
StPierre seems to have recovered his senses.

An elbow from StPierre crashes against the mat.
StPierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dixon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
StPierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dixon keeps working.
Dixon stops StPierre from passing to mount.

StPierre is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dixon looks calm but he's in trouble here. StPierre gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dixon is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! StPierre lets go of the hold and Dixon can pop his arm back in it's socket.
