The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
griffin wants to clinch.
griffin stuffs the takedown.
Cotter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts griffin as he jumps to the side.
Cotter closes the distance and clinches up with griffin, looking for a takedown. Cotter pushes griffin against the cage but griffin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
fred griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shamus Cotter.
griffin throws a right and a left that Cotter avoids nicely.

griffin drives through and clinches with Cotter against the cage.

griffin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
griffin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and griffin wants it to stay on the feet.

griffin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cotter is defended easily by griffin.
Cotter looks gassed!
griffin catches Cotter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
griffin lands with a right and another and another! Cotter is in big trouble! griffin lands again and this time it's lights out for Cotter! A quality knockout there for griffin.
