Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ilja Vasuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ilja Vasuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a straight right.
Jones scores with a nice strike.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vasuta circles away quickly and effectively.

Vasuta looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jones wants the takedown. Vasuta is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Vasuta's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Vasuta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Jones wants to stand but Vasuta has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones winds up and cracks Vasuta with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vasuta tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vasuta has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Vasuta's legs - danger averted.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasuta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones controls Vasuta momentarily but Vasuta frees himself.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones thuds his right hand into Vasuta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vasuta, up you get!

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jones moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Vasuta.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Vasuta to see if he's OK.
Vasuta is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vasuta tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
