Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evgeniy Miroshnichenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Zukowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Evgeniy Miroshnichenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adrian Zukowski!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zukowski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Miroshnichenko wants to sweep but no luck.
Zukowski wants to control from the top but Miroshnichenko keeps moving.
Miroshnichenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Zukowski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Zukowski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Miroshnichenko shoots in for a takedown but Zukowski shows good takedown defense.
Adrian Zukowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zukowski swats away the attempt to clinch by Miroshnichenko.
Zukowski closes the distance and clinches up with Miroshnichenko, looking for a takedown. Zukowski pushes Miroshnichenko against the cage but Miroshnichenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Miroshnichenko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zukowski!

Zukowski might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miroshnichenko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Miroshnichenko sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zukowski manages to reverse the position and now he's in Miroshnichenko's guard. Nice work there by Zukowski.

Zukowski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Zukowski leaves Miroshnichenko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Miroshnichenko counters with a single leg into guard. Zukowski didn't expect that.

Zukowski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miroshnichenko is aware though and is defending well.

Miroshnichenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zukowski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miroshnichenko has managed to get both his arms back between Zukowski's legs - danger averted.

Zukowski pushes a forearm under Miroshnichenko's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Miroshnichenko is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Adrian Zukowski!
