Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mer Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Balbacoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mer Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Balbacoa!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Balbacoa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jimenez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Balbacoa somewhat.
Jimenez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Balbacoa's calf.
Mer Jimenez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jimenez looks to land a combination but Balbacoa avoids it well.
Balbacoa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jimenez.
No joy there for Jimenez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Balbacoa throws a hook to the side of Jimenez's head but Jimenez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jimenez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Balbacoa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jimenez.
Balbacoa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
An inside leg kick lands from Jimenez.
Jimenez throws a series of punches but Balbacoa moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Balbacoa. Jimenez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Balbacoa tries to clinch but Jimenez is having none of it.
Jimenez swats away the attempt to clinch by Balbacoa.
Balbacoa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Balbacoa has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jimenez finds it's way round the side to connect with Balbacoa's head.
Balbacoa throws a right hand that Jimenez ducks under and follows up with a left that Jimenez also avoids with ease.

Jimenez moves into the clinch.

Jimenez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jimenez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jimenez.
A right-left combo lands from Jimenez.
Jimenez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Balbacoa looks gassed!

Jimenez moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Jimenez's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jimenez manages to break the clinch.
Balbacoa dives in and grabs Jimenez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jimenez pushes down on Balbacoa's head and hops out.
Mer Jimenez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Balbacoa.
Balbacoa shoots in looking for a takedown. Jimenez tries to sprawl out of it but Balbacoa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jimenez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jimenez throws a combination. Balbacoa tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jimenez gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jimenez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jimenez throws a nice inside leg kick.

Jimenez drops Balbacoa with a beautiful combination! Balbacoa stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jimenez is looking for the KO!

Balbacoa is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Jimenez knocks Balbacoa out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
