Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between calvin junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulisses Lopes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopes has chosen Fucking Hostile - Pantera as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes looks for a takedown but junior sprawls well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lopes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and junior counters with a three punch combo that has Lopes backing up. Lopes nods at junior to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lopes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and junior counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Lopes is positioning himself well to prevent junior advancing to mount.
Lopes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of junior's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take junior's back!

That was a close round but I would say that calvin junior will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
