The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Carwabercic. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Carwabercic which made him look bad.
Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Carwabercic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jackson stands and throws Carwabercic's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carwabercic to see if he's OK.
Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carwabercic, who protects the arm well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Carwabercic tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carwabercic keeps working.
Jackson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson uses his free foot to push down on Carwabercic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carwabercic.
Jackson breaks from Carwabercic's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jackson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Carwabercic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.

Jackson wants to control the pace but Carwabercic is squirming around nicely.
